katrinaszish: Grotto’s was founded by a Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania native, who spent summers making pizzas at his family’s pizza restaurant — Joe’s Pizza — at Harvey’s Lake in PA. Actually, it was at this summer spot where my parents (as kids!) first tasted the legendary recipe that eventually became Grotto’s in 1960 in Delaware. samantopol: katrinaszish: The best pizza on earth: Grotto Pizza I love that Katrina calls this the best pizza on earth.  Grottos is such a Delaware thing, and a late-night UD thing.  Grottos bar is always crowded—I’m excited to go when I finally turn twenty one (six months!).
